Unfair 6-String Banjo Comparison

Just retweaked my “electric-acoustic” Dean Backwoods 6 for the third time this season. Then I played my Deering D6 for about ten minutes. They’re barely the same instrument.

I like the fact that I don’t throw my back out picking up the Dean like I do my Deering D6. And if it gets “mislaid” I’m not out a mint. Plus it really is better than any other under-$600 6-string banjo I’ve had a chance to check out. But if you try out an under-$1000 6-string banjo and are “less than impressed,” I beg you not to write off the whole class of instrument. 🙂
